Art in Action is a special day at Avoca West dedicated to creativity, critical thinking, self-expression, and cultural awareness.

Students in kindergarten through fifth grade explore hands-on art projects under the guidance of local artists, with support from parent volunteers.

Past art stations have included watercolors, abstract acrylic painting, still life, digital portraits, jewelry making, dance, glow-stick photography, mask painting, and collage scrapbooking.

Help Bring Art to Life

Art in Action relies on local artists, school staff, and parent volunteers to make the experience possible. Volunteers may help prepare materials, assist students at stations, and support the day's activities.
