Classroom parties are a special part of the school year, giving students opportunities to celebrate, participate in activities, and make memories with classmates.

The PTC supports classroom celebrations through volunteer coordination and opportunities for families to contribute supplies or help with activities.

Fall Party & Parade

All classrooms have Halloween parties, they are organized by the room parents and parent volunteers help by providing snacks and by bringing and attending games for the students on October 29, 2026. The students also parade around Avoca West on Halloween.

Winter Party

Held on the Friday before Winter Break begins (December 18, 2026), this fun party is run by the room parents at the end of the day to celebrate all of the students' hard work to that point of the school year as well as the upcoming holidays.

End-of-Year Pizza Picnic

The year-end picnic is held on the last day of school for all grades to celebrate the year (June 3, 2027). Pizza is provided by the PTC and room parents coordinate additional food, beverages and treats. Parents are welcome to attend and are encouraged to bring picnic blankets, games, etc.

Volunteer or Contribute

Classroom celebrations rely on families who are willing to help. Volunteer roles and donation needs vary by classroom and event. Please follow the instructions shared by your teacher or room parent.
